Future NOIR is an exhibition bringing together the work of Eddie Otchere and Remy Bourdeau, two photographers behind some of the most iconic shots of famous names that shaped the history of Hip-Hop, from Method Man to Biggie Smalls, The Fugees and Erykah Badu.

The exhibition is a testament to Hip-Hop embodied by a photographic dialogue between the two artists. Photography here is not only a medium but the fifth tenant of Hip-Hop culture itself, embraced under an Afropean angle, under Paris and London’s skies.

Otchere and Bourdeau propose a visual witness that documents decades of a Hip-Hop revolution that has shaped culture at large, race relations and politics. Weaving narratives through analogue shots of two European capitals, future NOIR will be a vibrant display of iconic portraits of rappers, DJs, music lovers and urban expression.

“We’re trying to express something of a dialogue or, more specifically, a 'dialogic' universe, where our photography is at its core. This universe exists in language, literature and music, but less so in photography. We want to illuminate through the hang, the works and the show, a polyvocality.”
