Join photographers Eddie Otchere and Rémy Bourdeau for a workshop documenting Brixton using analogue cameras.

At the start of the workshop each participant will receive a roll of Kodak Tmax 100, a super fine grain black and white film, as well as one of a wide range of film cameras. (You are welcome to bring your own film camera if you wish.) Participants will receive a map of Brixton and have two hours to engage with the life and culture of the area. Your film will then be processed by the artists using using instant coffee and Vitamin C.

All the photographs produced during the workshop will be added to the artists exhibition Futur NOIR for the Closing Event on 5 September. At the end of the exhibition, each participant will be able to collect the films they shot on as well as a digital contact sheet of their images.

To maintain social distancing there will be staggered starts to the workshop and the majority of the workshop will take place outside. Attendees will only enter the gallery to pick up a camera and a role of film. Please arrive promptly for your slot, and wear a mask when inside the building.
