Rapport Festival:
Otchere Darkoom
29 - 30 June 2019
Eddie Otchere will be crafting a pop-up darkroom experience in the San Mei Gallery, Brixton. You’ll be provided with Kodak P3200 film, a camera from Eddie’s archive to shoot Brixton with, and you’ll get to display the print you make at a final exhibition on Sunday 30th June.
You’ll then be assisted in the developing and creation of contact sheets and printing of the work, as well as curating the display, which will act as a visual narrative exploration of Brixton.
Eddie Otchere is best known for his photographs of the seminal rappers and DJs of the mid 1990s and early noughties. His celebrated works include portraits of Biggie Smalls, Blackstar (Mos Def & Thalib Kweli), So Solid Crew, Est’elle, and Goldie.
