Mobile Workshop

Saturday 5 February 2022, 11am-3pm

Learn how to make structural mobiles with Phineas Harper.

A three-hour beginner's workshop in how to make structural mobiles. The artist will teach you how to make a basic mobile using wood, wire and simple tools to take home. From there you’ll be able to design and make your own mobiles with as much complexity as you like. The workshop draws on the work of Alexander Calder, Bruno Munari, and other kinetic artists of the 20th century.

Please note, the artist is donating their time in running this workshop for free. The ticket prices will cover the cost of materials and tools with any remaining proceeds going towards San Mei Gallery's education and outreach programmes.

Phineas Harper is an architecture critic and director of Open City and Open House Worldwide.
