San Mei Gallery is delighted to be hosting an artist talk by Roma Tearne organised by our sister space Van Gogh House London.

Roma Tearne, author of the acclaimed novel Brixton Beach, will lead a talk at San Mei Gallery about her most recent writing project.

Tearne will have recently completed a residency at Van Gogh House, developing a travelogue of the streets around Van Gogh House and her childhood home, excavating both her own memories of the hyperlocal area and those of former residents who have participated in this project.

Roma Tearne is a Sri Lankan-born artist and writer living and working in Oxford. Her first novel, Mosquito, was shortlisted for the Costa Prize and her third, Brixton Beach, became a Channel 4 TV Book Club Read and has recently been added to the IB syllabus.
