Programme Postponed

We’re sorry to announce that our upcoming programme including Case 0034: The Gargantuan Shoe with Luca Bosani and Obelisk with F.O.A.M. will be postponed until 2021 due to the new national lockdown restrictions.

Instagram Takeover: Subsidiary Projects

From tomorrow, we will be hosting Subsidiary Projects and curator Jeanette Gunnarsson for a four-day takeover of our Instagram account.

Subsidiary Projects and Jeanette were due to exhibit at San Mei earlier this year, but unfortunately due to coronavirus the exhibition has been postponed until early 2021.

Shop sales enable us to support our ambitious programme of exhibitions and events as well as providing vital income for emerging artists, designers and makers.

Exhibition extended: Fuzzy Objects

Following its premature closing due to the coronavirus outbreak, we are happy to announce the extension of our group exhibition Fuzzy Objects, featuring Janet Currier, Nicky Hodge, and Jane Millar, for an additional week.

A new catalogue essay, 'Amitié,' by Roxy Walsh will be available in the gallery as well to download from our website.

Although there is no need to book, please note that to maintain social distancing there will be a five person limit to the gallery.

Statement on Black Lives Matter

We stand in solidarity with all those protesting against racism across the globe. We recognise as a cultural organisation especially given our home here in Brixton that we have a role to play in the fight against systemic injustice. We will take this time to reflect on the work that still needs to be done internally, and we want to be open to criticism and suggestions. There are many barriers within the art world and we will renew our efforts to dismantle these barriers, including reviewing our programme, our outreach, our building access and who we choose to work with. Representation matters, access matters. Black Lives Matter.
