Back and Forth is a group exhibition celebrating two years since the opening of San Mei Gallery. This exhibition presents a selection of work by artists associated with the gallery's programme, inaugurated by an evening of music and performance.

Since its opening to the public in 2017, San Mei Gallery hosted numerous exhibitions curated by various independent emerging curators and artists. The exhibition brings together a group of artists that exhibited or curated past projects at San Mei. Some of them created new works especially for Back & Forth, it’s the case of Ellie Wang’s large-scale painting. Nathaniel Faulkner’s Windmill is now part of San Mei collection and was exhibited during Showerthoughts exhibition in 2018. Other works are important pieces of the artists portfolios and had never been shown at the gallery before.

An evening of performance will take place on Friday 21 February.
